Sunroof Success!

first glimpse of drive cable
removing drive cable from motor assembly
I lost the black crimp coupler (center of picture) and improvised by using plastic tubing.  The problem is that if there is ever excessive load, the drive cable could pop out.  Therefore, I took great pains to ensure that the roof was properly aligned before reassembly

So now things are working!  The most time consuming part was alignment of the lifting arms.  The final setting that I used was:  Unit pushed back and secured with socket heads.  The front two nuts were fully tightened.  See Pictures of left and right lifting arm below:

Trochoid Gear Pump (continued)

This is the opposite side of the shaft where the water pump impeller is attached by a m6 bolt

Trochoid Housing and Gear Shaft removed

Here are some more photos of the dual pump and the bike that they were removed from (and successfully replaced on!).

Kawasaki 636 Oil Pump / Water Pump

Here is a disassembled trochoid gear pump for pumping oil in an 04' Kawasaki 636 (motorcycle).
I removed this because I was troubleshooting a starting problem, and also to get an idea of how it works.

On the opposite end of the same shaft, an impeller is spun to circulate water through the radiator and engine.  (ie, a water pump)
