Backyard Drainage Design. BOM and Parts List
I am laying out a backyard gutter runoff and drain design system.
The system will incorporate two elements:
(1) Solid Pipe Runoff collection and diversion system
(2) French Drain style collection system, possibly to tie into the runoff collection.
YouTube has a number of great examples which I am using to spec my design.
Home Depot BOM:
Qty 1 @ $76.96 = $76.96 #04510100 Advanced Drainage Systems 4" x 100 ft. Corex Solid Drain Pipe. Used for roof drain spouts to convey water far away from foundation
Qty 2 @ $ 2.82 = $ 5.64 #0432AA 4" Plug HDPE
Qty 4 @ $ 6.28 = $25.12 #4P08 4" PVC 45 Degree Hub Wye (For Cleanout at Gutter Vertical)
Qty 4 @ $ 2.57 = $10.28 #904 NDS 2 in. x 3 in. x 4 in. Styrene Offset Downspout Adapter
Qty 3 @ $ 8.93 = $26.79 #0422AA 4" HDPE Snap Wye Coupling
Amazon BOM:
Qty 1 @ $ 6.48 = $6.48 Christy's 02-4122 2-Inch Wide by 100-Feet Long 10ml Thick Tape
Qty 1 @ $127.29 Mutual NW35 Non Woven Geotextile Polypropylene Fabric 300' Length x 6' Width
[For Foundation / French Drain Style Application]
Design Inputs and other factors:
Roof Area: 1200 sqf (estimated)
800-1000 Gallons of runoff per 1" of rain to be diverted to sloped front yard (sloped towards street)
Soil composition: Heavy Clay
Footer facing inwards
Crawlspace
Poor previous drainage noted by water in the crawlspace
