Sunroof Success!

I lost the black crimp coupler (center of picture) and improvised by using plastic tubing.  The problem is that if there is ever excessive load, the drive cable could pop out.  Therefore, I took great pains to ensure that the roof was properly aligned before reassembly

So now things are working!  The most time consuming part was alignment of the lifting arms.  The final setting that I used was:  Unit pushed back and secured with socket heads.  The front two nuts were fully tightened.  See Pictures of left and right lifting arm below:

  1. This fix ended up being temporary. About 1 year later the metal tube separated from the motor housing, and I had to use a custom hose clamp to fix the two together again.
